eClipseScan Control Panel

The keypad is intuitively arranged with tactile
markings to assist positioning your hand within reach of
all controls. The front panel includes the power
on / off button, a volume knob and earphone jack that
automatically disables the speaker output when
headphones are connected to the system.
The HELP KEY enables the key describer mode
which acts as a built-in tutor announcing the function
of each key when press and provides context sensitive
help for the DVD player, Internet radio and scanning and
reading operation.
At power up the system is ready to scan and read.
Pressing the scan key scans the document place on the
scanner and then automatically starts reading from the
top of the document. The Play / Pause key stops
and starts document reading. The four Arrow Keys
provides document navigation by line or word and the
Enter key in the center of the arrow keys spells the
current word. Navigation includes a page up and
down key that announces the page number while scrolling
through the document. The Font and Speed keys
modify the reading environment adjusting reading speed,
and a range font size and text color combinations to
assist low vision users. The Menu Key opens the
self-voicing menu system to launch the DVD player,
Internet Radio, Open or Save Documents, Save and Output
Daisy books, Burn Daisy CDs and adjust system
preferences.

eClipseScan's High Quality Audio System
The elegantly curved front left and right corners of
eClipseScan house powerful speakers providing high
quality stereo output.
The rear panel includes audio output jacks where
external stereo speakers or surround sound systems may
be connect to the entertainment system.
Connecting the earphones to the front panel stereo
jack automatically disables the internal speaker output.
eClipseScan Low Vision Magnification

eClipseScan includes a SVGA and S-Video TV output
jacks where Low Vision users may connect a computer
monitor or TV set to view magnified text as words are
highlighted and read with high quality NeoSpeech
Text-To-Speech. Voice options include male or
female voices.
Large Font Menu System Options

eClipseScan's unique Menu System may be magnified
with a selection of font sizes to assist Low Vision
users as shown here in the Internet Radio Control Panel.
Menu Items are voiced and highlighted when selected
using the Arrow and Enter Keys.
DVD Video Output

Simply load a DVD and press the Scan key to start the
movie without the need to find and navigate a visual
menu system.
eClipseScan provides Blind and Low Vision users
accessible control over DVD content where they may
access Secondary Audio Output Settings, Closed Caption
and Language settings.
Use the keypad to navigate a DVD by chapter, fast
forward or rewind in 30 second increments, and control
the movie playback in fast and slow motion.
A talking DVD Menu Manager provides access to
sections and sub sections contained on a DVD.
